Very unusual picture - you should have blogged this at halloween time!
I think the image could be improved if the left and top parts of the pumpkin were in focus as well - I have a feeling that would mean that you have to invest in a macro lens that have continuous focus capablilities. The alternative would be to take the photo at a 90 degree angle to the centre, but I have feeling that such a shot would appear too rigid.
I am at the moment pestering the dealers to show me what different macro lenses are available for my camera. Once I have the lens I will tackle some south african pumpkins
This is allready a great shot - the improvement would take it into the excellent class
